what is the elevate series?
The Elevate Series is a unique take on a workshop. We will be gathering planners, designers, florists, and photographers for 3 days of education, shoots, networking, and good times December 2nd - 5th, 2019 at Middleton Place in Charleston, South Carolina. Hosted by Wendy Kay of Birds of a Feather Events, Charla Storey of Charla Storey Photography, and Maxine Owens of Max Owens Design (formerly The Southern Table), The Elevate Series will feature group classes that are focused on general business practices, building your team, round table discussions where all of your questions will be answered, and break out sessions for each discipline. This 3-day retreat will also include some amazing shoots where planners, designers, florists, and photographers will all come together to produce amazing vignettes to help you elevate your portfolio. Every evening we will gather together to break bread and get to know one another. This will be an amazing opportunity to build relationships with other vendors from all over the US! We are very excited to share our experiences with you and help you elevate your own businesses to that next level!
group sessions & round table topics
Each morning, after breakfast, we will start our days out as a group discussing topics that pertain to all of us as wedding pros. Before we go to our break out sessions for each discipline, we will have some time for open discussions as well as Q&A. Topics to include: marketing, branding, and attracting the right client; how to produce a styled shoot with purpose and intention, finding your creative team and how to network in a genuine way, styling 101, getting published in places that will bring you clients, and social media with a focus on Instagram.
