Greetings! I'm Maxine, owner of Max Owens Design (formerly The Southern Table, Floral + Event Design). We are located in Dallas, Texas and offer an organic, yet elegant, design aesthetic to our clients. Inspired by nature, we seek to unify the built environment with the natural for all our weddings and events. I love taking a blank canvas and bringing nature in!
My background is actually very eclectic, and my journey to flowers is truly serendipitous. I have a degree in bio science, but fell into retail and design after I quit med school (yes, that happened!). Along the way, I worked in visual design, merchandising, and management for Anthropologie, Crate and Barrel, and Barneys New York. I couldn't have predicted at the time, but each one of those experiences laid the groundwork and prepared me for a career in the wedding and event world. Flowers are my chosen medium to create art. Color and texture guide me in my choices, and I love filling a room with unusual color combinations that surprise guests!
